What finger do the wedding rings go on?

In many western cultures it is traditional to wear the wedding rings on the fourth digit of the left hand-the same as the engagement ring. However, in certain Eastern-European cultures it is typically worn on the fourth digit of the right hand. Some couples will wear their engagement ring on one hand and their wedding ring on there other, while others will wear their wedding ring on the same finger as their engagement ring on the side that is closest to the knuckle.
