However, emeralds can be more susceptible to chipping because of their inclusions. You can certainly wear emeralds everyday without any problems, but it pays to look after them with some extra care.

It may be worth cleaning your emerald jewellery lightly with water if it has caught any dirt. Just avoid soaking it for long periods of time and wearing it in the shower.
